Description

Anastrozole Devatis contains the active substance anastrozole. This inhibits the enzyme aromatase, which is involved in the production of the female sex hormones estrogens. This enzyme plays an important role in the production of estrogens after menopause. Treatment with Anastrozole Devatis results in a reduction of estrogens to very low levels and thus in a reduced stimulus to the growth of cancer cells in breast cancer. Anastrozole Devatis is used in post-menopausal women as an adjuvant treatment for early breast cancer after surgery and as a treatment for advanced breast cancer.
